5th graders to create bicycling poster

5th graders to create bicycling poster

A national contest is offering 5th graders the chance to win a bike, bike light, and helmet. During the 2013 Bicycling Poster Contest, 5th grade students must create a poster around the theme "Bicycling makes life better."  The purpose of the contest is to promote youth riding bicycles as a way to lead a healthy lifestyle.

One winner will be selected from each state to receive a bike, bike light, and helmet.

According to a Mississippi State University Extension Service publication, a good weight-loss diet includes fewer calories than you normally eat, foods that appeal to you, food that is available locally, a variety of foods from the various food groups, your favorite foods on occasion, and foods that you can afford.
