Crystal Springs Youth Council to host anti-bullying march and rally

The Crystal Springs Mayor’s Youth Council along with the CS High School Student Council and the Crystal Springs Elementary School Ambassadors are hosting a  Anti-Bullying: March and Rally May 19.

This event will begin at 9:30am in the front lawn of the Crystal Springs High School (201 Newton St.). Then students will lead a march from the high school to Railroad Park where the Rally begins.

MISSISSIPPI STATE – Valentine’s Day is supposed to be about love and romance, but gift exchanges can leave some sweethearts feeling anxious instead.

Susan Cosgrove, area family resource management agent in Newton County with Mississippi State University Extension Service, said homemade gifts are an inexpensive option and can be even more meaningful than store-bought ones.

“Make a custom calendar or quilt using family photos,” she said.

Sports complex one step closer to reality
