Co-Lin students seeking success in robotics competition

A group of Copiah-Lincoln Community College students make up the only team in Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama in an international robotics competition this summer, the Daily Leader reports.

Students interested in pursuing a career in engineering or technology need look no further than Copiah-Lincoln Community College, as a group of students and faculty are building an underwater robot to enter in an international competition.

Coral bells are perpetual favorites, and their colorful foliage can add interest and texture to any garden.

The first coral bells had green foliage, but these days, green foliage selections can be hard to find. New selections have purple, red, and white marbling and different colored venation. You will often see foliage colors of bright gold, orange and brown.

Co-Lin's Pepper named MACJC Coach of the Year

Co-Lin women's tennis coach Holli Pepper has been named MACJC Coach to the Year.  Pepper has been the coach of the Lady Wolves for seven years.

Woman's body found in Hazlehurst motel room

HAZLEHURST, MS (WLBT)- Motel housekeeping made a horrifying discovery inside a room in Copiah county Saturday morning.

A woman's body was found at the Hill Top Motel on Highway 51 in Hazlehurst.

Copiah County Coroner Ellis Stuart identified the victim as 32 year old Kayti Lynn Dillon of Hazlehurst.

Dillon was pronounced dead around 10:30 Saturday morning.

She had been staying in the room for a few days.

Coroner Stuart estimated that she may have been murdered sometime Friday night.

He would not say how she was killed.
